The character “Mike Nail” had major political aspirations as a superior court judge , which at some point later in time he actually realized and came to fruition . After all , in the beginning he had started out as a mere rookie D.A. This was straight out of ordinary Law School. It can be said that in the beginning or even in the end he did not file on Allen , and really would not of initially wanted to be involved in any way or means and would of preferred not to have been involved or take the chance or chances of being involved and become tainted with the whole sordid set of affairs and events of the whole affair. After all the judgeship or even the very chances of the judgeship were what mattered at all in any way.
The gist of it all was that a filing – a simple filing at that , was going to be done ,all along the path on the road to justice. Simple as that. The problem was , and became , was that the D.A. , the District Attorney , did not want to file on a “dead guy”. This was true. However on the other side of the fence , or the other side of the coin they were not clear on the matter and did not elaborate or detail as much.
